A Campaign by Lotus Women's Solidarity and Life Association

Having a valentine is a natural process of human relationships. We should not be afraid or ashamed of experiencing emotional relationships. But we also want our relationship to be safe. How can we understand the reliability of the emotional relationships we form as young women and girls? What are the attitudes and behaviors that indicate a tendency towards violence?

TEST

Don't be my violance, be my valentine

Since being a lover is seen as a "secret", "shameful" issue that "needs to be keep hidden" even if we encounter violence in a relationship, we often cannot talk to anyone about this situation and as a result, we feel lonely. Even though being a lover is not widely seen a liegitimate in society, it continues to live on as a natural part of human relationships. With this campaign, we want to make the violance in these relationships discussable and therefore visible. Because violance is a confusing and a difficult subject to deal with for most young and adult women. For this reason, recognizing the warning signs of violance and catching the clues of it holds great importance. Recognizing these signals can help protect us from escalating violence and build healthier relationships.
