WHAT CAN A LOTUS WOMEN VOLUNTEER DO?
Lotus Women Activity/Project Volunteer
The job titles needed within the scope of the events are determined and a call is be made to conduct an briefing with volunteers before the event. Eligible volunteers will receive the tasks they can complete by attending this meeting. Appropriate time, talent and motivation are taken into account in distribution of these tasks.
1th Step: Fill out the volunteer form! Fill it out so we know you want to be a volunteer.
2th Step: Attend the Volunteer Information and Interaction Workshop! When you fill out the volunteer form, we will contact you as soon as possible and invite you to our first meeting. Before you can officially volunteer, we need to attend this meeting and get to know each other.

Lotus Kadın’ın geliştirdiği “Güvenli İlişki Atölyesi” kız çocukları ve genç kadınların duygusal ilişkilerinde karşılaşabilecekleri şiddet davranışlarını tanımalarını ve buna karşı güçlenmelerini amaçlar. Lotus Güvenli İlişki Elçisi bu atölyelerin yaygınlaştırılması amacıyla 15 kişilik katılımcı grupları oluşturur.
1th Step: Fill out the volunteer form! Fill it out so we know you want to be a volunteer.
2th Step: Join the Sacure Relationship workshop! We will invite you to the first workshop we will organize shortly after we receive your form. You must attend the workshop first, this will make it easier for you to create a group.
3th Step: Now it's time to get to know each other more closely. Come to the volunteer information and interaction meeting and learn more about the process. Before you can officially volunteer, we need to attend this meeting and get to know each other.
4th Step: Let's start creating your group! Create a Whatsapp group when there are enough numbers in your list. We will send you a registration form, share it in your group and try to get everyone to fill it out. When we share the location and date information for the workshop with you, you can announce it to your group. If you don't get enough numbers, let us know and we'll try to complete the group.
5th Step: It's workshop time! Don't forget that you are in charge of the group and also a member. Even if you've attended the workshop before, attending with your group makes group members feel safe.
The workshop is successfuly completed. Now, you can proudly wear your Ambassador of Secure Relationship badge.
Things you should pay attention when creating a group:
- The group must have a minimum of 15 and a maximum of 20 people. In order to not fall under 15 members, you can designate reserve participants. If you have more than 20 participants yo can also create a second group or you can let us know the small group you have created so that we can complete the group as well.
- If there are participants under the age of 18, they need the approval of their families. You can download the approval form here and provide it to the underage participants so that they can get the consent of their families. The form must be filled and signed by legal parents. The participants must also at least 15 years old.
- The pariticipants can be up to 30 years old. If there are older people who want to join we can create a seperate group with them. But our priority is women under the age of 30.
- You should provide the adequate information about the workshop to the participants. We will give the details about this at the briefing.
Lotus Women's Solidarity and Life Association definition of volunteering
Within the scope of this policy, Lotus Women's Solidarity and Life Association Volunteer, is a person or institution that fulfills a task or duties of its own free will/desire and uses their labor, knowledge, competence and experience continuously or intermittently, without expecting any financial or other benefit, to create social benefit, to do work that is thought to be beneficial for women, and to ensure gender equality in all areas of society.
General Principles
- In line with the values of Lotus Women's Solidarity and Life Association, all volunteers take an equal distance.
- There is no discrimination based on race, ethnicity, language, religion, belief or sexual orientation among the volunteers.
- Volunteering is recorded with the application form.
- Each volunteer is assigned to a work according to his potential, interest and ability.
- Volunteers are expected to participate in workshops and trainings organized in accordance with the aims of the association.

- Lotus Women's Solidarity and Life Association supports its volunteers to develop the skills and abilities necessary to fulfill their duties or responsibilities with the awareness of sustainability and the continuity of volunteering.
- It ensures the security of the information of the volunteer and the beneficiary within the scope of the Personal Data Protection Law (KVKK).
- If the person applying for a volunteer does not respond to or does not attend 3 consecutive invitations, the volunteer application is dropped.
- In cases where the volunteers do not fulfill their responsibilities and do not participate in the relevant meetings and activities, the volunteering process is concluded by mutual evaluation.
Principles of Work that Lotus Women's Solidarity and Life Association Volunteers are expected to follow:
- As a volunteer of an independent non-governmental women's organization, she stands at an equal distance from women of all opinions.
- Avoids hierarchical relationships with LOTUS members and other volunteers.
- Takes the women's solidarity as base view.
- Stand in cooperation with other women organizations.
- Fulfill own responsibility.
